Scary though this maybe for some, I am the owner of a grease gun which has been used :icon_eek: :icon_eek:
Surfing about on the bay, thought I would look to get a new cartridge to put into stock. Seems to be a couple of different types, basically general purpose or lithium. Probably more.
Question to my betters is, is there any benefit to buying the dearer lithium stuff or stick with the general purpose stuff ? Would it be OK to use lithium in UJ's & the like where the general purpose stuff has been used before & still in the joints ?
I await further education :003:

i use ep2 grease, cheap and cheerful
"EP2 Grease is a long-life grease suitable for the majority of industrial and automotive applications"

You can switch to lithium if you wish as long as you make sure you purge all the old stuff out. Keep squeezin until clean fresh grease comes out. You should be doing that anyhow but if you're swapping greases it's important to make sure you do it properly.
I use aeroshell 33 :icon_winkle:
