OK folks,
Me KJ is being repaired, upper wishbone rubbers, now they are telling me i need brake shoes and pads and discs for the back end, it's having a service as well you see, and not at a main Chrysler stealer.
Now i have had dealings with Mansfield 4x4 before, not a good one, an over night delivery turned into two phone calls and two weeks later delivery, so i wont be using them again....now who do you use, bearing in mind i don't mud plug like a CJ, and do you lot ever have ya disc's skimmed.
There is a small engineering firm not to far from me, who i recon could do the job on the disc's, but where can the best deal on brake shoes and pads be done, i can fit them myself like i did before.
This will be the fourth lot of shoes i have had fitted, 80k on the clock, surely they should last a bit longer than that....and i am a steady old driver, if wanted to go fast i would have got a ragtop with go faster things on.
Cheers.........Mel B.

Mel,
Strange to hear that you have been dealt such a bad hand by Mansfield. :017:
Did Mrs. Dutchess all four corners with dics and pads not too long ago. Phoned for advice & ordered on line. Got them really quick and fitted the bastards.
Sterling service I'd say.

i got through official ones as quick as ebay ones, i know there are other differences but pound for pound i'd do an ebay as i change them every service anyways :icon_biggrin:

Mel, rather than just dole out advice or tellyou what I do, let me ask you a question. What is the primary feature you require from your new brakes? Low dust, low cost, or best stopping ability?

.....only if theres a prize :icon_biggrin:

IIRC paid £196,- delivered from Mansfield. 4 x discs + all pads.

i would not have said that was bad to your door
