thats a clifford master fob, extra buttons are for remote start boot open etc and dont need to be used so will work if yours is a clifford, or is it like this one

right shape but my buttons are two thirds of the way up and the fob does not have the penta star

Guess you mean one of these? If so good luck, i spent a long time looking for one before giving up and getting an infra red type of ebay and leaving the alarm in valet mode. There should also be a small black push button somewhere under the dash by the fuse box, which if pressed with ignition on turns the immobiliser off.
You could have this remote of me but i suspect you'd be no better off.
Dave.
-
yay thats the one and yes i do have a button under the dash but been afraid to mess in case i triggered the imoby and could not then disarm it with the fooked fob
-
It's an aftermarket system, so it can be removed. Find the control box under the dash (all the wires to it will be black) and follow the wires to see where they join into the vehicle harness. Where you find a single original wire that's been cut and the two ends connected to seperate wires to the alarm, disconnect them from the alarm and join them back together. There will only be 2 or 3 wires that actually stop the Jeep running.
-
:iagree:
only two yellow wires were cut and wired into the alarm i had fitted to mine, fit a secret switch into the fuel pump line feed for added security if needed
-
I don't know how easy it is to program fobs to codealarm systems but there are fobs on ebay. Most are in the US but there's one in bedford for 99p.
