hello im thinking about putting new wheels on my jeep grand cherokee 3.1d on a 51 plate i am looking at a set of 20in or 22in but will i need to put wheel spacers or muck about with the wheel arches,thanks stu Blues

i would say no with standard gearing.We ran 22's on one of the hummers, they are and tend to be very brittle and end up with all types of stress cracks,and we lost 5mpg ,needless to say its back on standard wheels and tyres now and a lot better for it

As panic says,its ok having big rims but it doesnt half put a lot more strain on the rims,especially with the roads like they are as the less rubber,the less cushioning.I have a BMW 5 series originally running some stupid low profile tyre like 225/40/18,and not only did i have to replace 2 wheel bearings but all 4 tyres after last years big increase in pot holes,now running 245 /45/18 and so much better now
