Title: replacing damaged panels with slightly less damaged panels
Post by: apache on April 04, 2011, 12:27:38 PM
so on my last trip to the 3 Peaks, I had some tree damage.... which is unusual for me  :icon_rolleyes: and was nothing to do with Guinness  :icon_jook:

Jeep slid down a bank and into a tree just in front of the drivers side door, I know I need some protection and this will be sorted in the next few weeks, I've never had much success welding thin metal, but think it turned out OK in the end.
I did try to knock the offending dent out first but wasn't the easiest place in the world to get to. Also the replacement part needed straightening first, so its never going to win a beauty contest but at least looks straight'ish now.

I think the pics are in order  :017:
