Title: Disabling bleep when removing doors
Post by: Crazycarl on April 14, 2011, 09:41:39 PM
Hi there, I'm about to remove doors from my 1998 TJ Wrangler and thought I'd got everything sorted (even had mirror brackets specially fabricated). However, being a dumb ass, I forgot that when the doors come off, the annoying beep comes on to tell me the door is open when keys are in ignition.
Can anyone tell me the best way of disabling this, whether it be taping it up or removing a fuse? Apart from that I haven't a clue. Cheers

you can get clips that clip on from the states or alternatley use a paper clip to sort it.

Even easier; pull the fuse from the fuse panel thats specifically labelled something along the lines of 'door switch defeat'. But remember that when this is out it won't warn you that the light are left on when you exit the vehicle! Sounds obvious but its got me!
