Please - someone - anyone - have you any ideas how to get rid of the warning "Hood Open", on the overhead display. Honestly - it's not. I've slammed it a couple of times, [ well, very gentle slam], but the message still persists. Where, and what is causing this display message. It only started when my husband cleaned under the bonnet and liberally sprayed all of the hoses with something to make them shine !!!!!!!!! - Can I point my finger in his direction ???

Had this on my Grand...........PITA agreed..............
Happened to me when I disconnected battery and took it off for charging.............. when reconnected same message............
Do this:
Open car
open hood
start engine
close hood
get in
look for sign....should have gone out now...............
worked for me :icon_super: :icon_biggrin:

Hi Bev,
Her indoors has a 2.5 CRD. The former owner taped the switch up. problem solved.
Its situated on the lefthand side wing when you open the bonnet.
I left it as is.

Maybe if you open the bonnet , and drive around with it open , you won,t feel so bad that the sign is lit up...
You can cut a small hole in the bonnet to see where you are going...
Ok..i,ll get me coat...

logically you can assume the spay has had an effect on the indicator switch, first thing would be to locate the switch and clean the contacts
