the yj 2.5 went last week, so now i can play with the tj 4l :)
i think the front springs have sagged as there is only about 2" before it hits the bump stops. am i right?
i have ordered a 2" budget lift, but i dont want to fit it if the springs are shot :(
-
Where abouts are you ?
Think I still have the original standard springs from our TJ in the garage somewhere you could compare yours to if your local-ish to Worcester.
Memo to self, must clearout the garage this week :greggmo:
-
how many miles had the jeep done on them? could you measure there hight
im in essex :(
-
as gazs springs are off the truck, you need to measure yours unloaded to get a comparison :greggmo:
-
i wonder if jacking it up will be enough?
-
mmm, maybe not, get one out with spring compressors but be fucking careful :icon_winkle:

:eusa_snooty: £80 dood :003:

Sorry Paul, forgot all about this DOH !!
I'll see if I can dig them out & mesure them, hhmmm, wonder which are the front & which are the back ones, any ideas folks on different spring diameters etc ?
-
front ones are taller and smaller in diameter, the rear are shorter and bigger in diameter
that will help if you have both sets i suppose, if you havn't compare them to the ones fitted on the truck mate :icon_winkle:

Nice one Steve :icon_winkle:
I'll have a rumage later :003:

:icon_eek: only 2 inches must be very frustrating Blues

Found the springs, the fronts did about 60k before being changed for OME kit.
They measure 435mm, obviously this measurement was taken not on the vehicle, spring laid flat on the floor, hope this helps

thanks for the help, i will measure mine the weekend.
anyone seen the set on ebay? 40mm lift, iron man. made in australia
