Title: Newbie with leaking tj pinion seals
Post by: Craigk47 on June 02, 2011, 08:01:08 AM
How do? Got my first jeep on tuesday. Joined the forum yesterday and found my first job to do last night! :) It's a 2000 reg tj 4.0 sport and both of the pinion seals (front and rear) are shot. 1st problem is that i have no idea which type of axles i have. Also, can anyone recommend a decent place for the parts? + is it just the two seals that i need? Ps. Hi everyone! Craig

Cheers fella! Do the tjs come with different types of axle or are they all on the same type? If so, which kind would be on mine and are the front and rear of the same type? Cheers again, Craig

Unless Jeep ran out of parts during assembly (not unheard of), you should have a 44 in the rear and a 30 in the front.
