I have found after installing my 360 that the previous owner with the engine/trans combo has shortened the rear shaft and lengthened the front one. My question is how do I correctly measure the appropiate shaft length obviously allowing enough flexibility in the slip section for compression and extension. Any help would be appreciated.

just see if anybody has a set of props for a cj6? i can give you a mesurment for the front off my 5! but the rear should be 20" longer than a stock 5!

That would be nice but the chances of fing a set of CJ6 shafts would be the same as find a hen with teeth, I recken I can get some made here if I know the lengths

i think i might have a front not sure about the rear though, but you could try bubba's cj parts emporium

That would be handy, thanks for the offer, surpose when Bubba wakes up he will hopefully add his 2 cents worth :003:

i think he is in bed crying at the moment! unless his 8 goes for £10,000

i think he has no tears left to weep :003:

Just buy Bubbas cj8 off him they should be the same shafts :003:
It will depend on your gearbox length as well though, so you are probably best off measuring what you have.
They measure from the middle of the yoke to middle of the yoke normally i think.
