Perhaps you wise old fellers can advise, I have recently bought a 1999 XJ and have spent the last few weekends sorting out its mechanical niggles, replacing the worn axel and radiator and other mechanical bits from my 1992 rust pile.. Once I have all the bits that I need the old car will be scrapped.. So the question is what parts from the old girl will be worth removing and saving for later use? Body wise it is amazing just how different the two vehicles are.

Hi,
I'm in the same boat, have lots of cherokees at mo (four) plus grand cherokee....
Hubs, brakes, axle parts, starter, exhaust manifold, most stuff evolved with a lot of changes in 1995 and then with the facelift (of course) to the body, lights and glass... hope that helps... cheers Maf
PS if the indicator switch is good on the 1992 one, I have a friend who needs one... cheers Maf

Yeah, I have an indicator stalk that works, It looks like it has been repaired as there is a wire bound in insulation tape sticking out of it but from memory all of its functions worked.. Let me know if you would like it... Also have a drivers door glass..
