Title: Jeep Cherokee Orvis - Power Steering Box

I knew it was to good to be true - my 1999 4.0 Litre Jeep Cherokee Orvis has been 100% reliable these past few months when its not been needed for any really hard work, but as soon as I do the Power Steering Box has decided to join that great big scrap heap in the sky...

Does anyone know of a good source for a new or reconditioned box? So far the cheapest I've found is £550 which is far too bloody much!

heard of loads of problems with jeepbitsUK - hence they need to keep opening up new ebay accounts :icon_rolleyes:

I don't have any left - so have no vested intrest in putting anyone off buying off them

Thanks for all the replies!

The part on ebay is second hand and as its to do with the steering I would rather stick with new or refurbished parts.

I tried to give Chris Vaz a ring but that number isn't recognised - does anyone have his new number?

Hi All

I tried Jee Yay today. They would need me to send in my old unit and then they would be able to determine if it could be refurbished. Not what I was hoping for - I was hoping to buy a refurbished and send them my old unit.

Oh well I'll keep looking
