Title: not sure how to explain this.....
Post by: mud_dog on July 05, 2011, 08:12:33 PM
nearly every time i go in reverse its like something is binding then lets go with a clunk... ive checked props /brakes/ wheel bearings etc and had all 4 wheels off the ground and cant get it to repeat it self ..... and only some times when driving along i get the feeling the prop is binding lots of shudder and noise but when trying to find the problem i cant seem to find it .  :010: :010: :010: :010: :010: :010: :010: :010: :010: :010: :010: :010: :010: :010: :010:

could there be something in the axles of the gear box.... it has a hurst shifter gear box / f and r arbs etc etc :ecomcity: :ecomcity:     :017: if that helps.......

i did post '' does any one know this jeep'' and got no reply...... i would love to know any history, were its competed and just anything in general .......

i am finding the jeep far better build than any land rover.... last landy was up to comp spec but i am still struggling to find decent part suppliers in the uk . steve at fte is good mind you..... mansfeild i find just to be plain rude and un help full!

so is it worth me taking the rear off ... putting it in 4wd so it just uses the front and see if the problem is still there?
