Title: TJ 2.5 AXLE RATIOS

Having looked into the cost of regearing my 3.07 axles i had a thought( must stop that as it hurts) what ratios do 2.5 TJ normally come with? are they Dana 44 rear axles? thinking about buying another TJ swopping axles then re selling the 2.5 with 3.07 axles. any probs i should look out for,

2.5 has a 30 front, 35 rear with 4.11 gears.

a 2.5 with 3.07 gears would be slower than a slow thing

My 4popper TJ has a Dana44 rear; I believe all UK TJs had this.

aha so there might be light at the end of the tunnel. ( and not a train coming) will have to have a scout about for a 2.5 to plunder. Thanks All.

97 2.5 tj 30 front 44 rear 3.73 ratio
