1st things 1st...snorkel. To cut a long story short i bought one for my old landy off ebay but all the angles were wrong although it was advertised for a series landy, but being a hoarder i kept it anyway and good job i did because it fits my 4.0 XJ perfectly!! Well the angles do anyway, the problem is that its only 2" diameter and am worried it will screw up all the air mixture due to the size of it or do you reckon it will be ok?
Secondly on the inlet manifold there's 3 vacuum fittings, moving from front to back the 1st one is blanked off, the 2nd one goes to some funnny round thing then the 3rd one is supposed to be connected to the cruise control or something but the vacuum pipe is missing and its sucking like mad and i have not got a clue as to where it connects to - any idea's?
Cheers

2.5 - 3" diameter is normal for the XJ I think. I don't have a snorkel but an aftermarket / DIY intake system and it's all 3"
Re. Cruise control, there is a vac pip connected to the cruise unit. This is in the top left corner of the engine bay as you open it up and look in. There is a cable connection to the throttle body which may help you trace it. different years have different engine bay layouts and if you could take a picture and post it up I'm sure we could get it sorted.

Nice one for the replies, found the cc pipe all that i need to do now is get another of those right angled rubber joiner things and its sorted. And about the snorkel so do you reckon 2" is too small? And sorry mike i can't be buying a snorkel for it yet as need to give it a lift and some 31's first, but cheers anyway and will keep you in mind if my one's too small a diameter.
