Title: My poorly WJ 2.7 CRD
Post by: tedthefed on July 21, 2011, 07:49:49 PM
This is all i need at the mo, went to go out yesterday in the Grand started then while doing 3 point on the road stopped, would not start so got pushed to side. Left it about 10 mins and its starting alright but with a clunk into reverse and into drive even louder also not moving out of gear, stayiong in imp mode.  Had the AA recovery to friends garage to helpfully sort , any ideas etc.
( as was going to part chop for a new wrangler ? ) )

No fault codes coming up on maching but hes going to get the DRB111 changed so that can then be checked. (it was down graded or something for sorting out the xj)

What about the key thing - 5 x on-off-on-off and read codes in odometer ?

You got 16" wheels on that WJ, I'll buy em, (the meat is still warm and the vultures strike)

Be a bit longer before scrap i hope. 17 " wheels.

Update the gearbox is not recieving enough volts from the ECU so a fault on that uint , dealers 500. plus vat or a check fot 50 plus vat then 300 repair. So will look at that ............

Trying to get hold of a siemens 56041906BC transmission ECU to try in case its not that . Tried a couple of scrapers but either non in or if you return it you get pitence back if not working.   So carry on trying.... (make a good new film)

need some  :icon_jook: :icon_jook:

still not time to scrap yet before you ask.... ( but may have to scrap the diesel XJ again probs with alarm ecu, but spent some on it so owes about 500 in new starter and sensors)
