Title: A busy week
Post by: Lornaben on July 23, 2011, 09:37:43 PM
I've been busy metal glueing this week. My Mindy tub had been eaten by rust beatles so I purchased all new panels and glued em all together ...

So which bit is original? :017:

Non of what ya can see there, I rebuilt the whole thing from scratch. I was going to keep the original front end and just replace the rear but when I separated the front floor there was rust running through the seam. I chased it all the way into the front cowl  :banghead:  so I bit the bullet and ordered the rest of the tub panels.

just out of interest what was the parts cost? only ask cos we saw a full tub with bonnet, grill and wings at the WnP show for £1600 and it seemed a good price

That was a good price, I was quoted that for just the tub last year. I paid just under 1K for the loose panels, so I saved myself a few quid  :003:
