:jump_125: I have a jeep cherokee 2.5sport with no fuel at the rack Rac said fuel pump is running,Put four gallons in so can`t be low on petrol, where do I look first?

filters

if its not that it could be the pressure regulator valve in the tank

First verify the RAC is right. Turn the ignition on and off a couple of times, then find the test port on the fuel rail (a large Schraeder valve) take the dust cap off and press the middle, you should get fuel squirt into your eye at 40psi. If there's no fuel or just a dribble turn the ignition off, pull the fuel relay out and jump the 2 large terminals. The pump should now run continuously so you can listen for it. If it's running but still no fuel pressure it could be the pump itself, the regulator on the fuel rail (pre 97) or on top of the pump (97 on), or the filter (inline underneath pre 97) or incorporated in the regulator (97 on). Oh, and first of all, make sure you have a spark when cranking , if you haven't it isn't the fuel system, but probably a sensor gone down.

If no spark and no fuel it's the CPS....
