Hi All,
I just finished my roof rack.
It's great what you can do with an old bunk bed.

Good one :greggmo:

:iagree: cool nice bit of recycling

So it will take a standard mattress. Just need to add a canopy and you have a comfortable roof tent.
Full marks for creative recycling :icon_super:

Next on the list is a homebrew lift kit.
I have some new 2" lift shackles to fit my sagging leaf springs.
I am going to knock out some spacers for the front out of an old tyre I have on hand.
Two things for question.
1. does anyone know where I can get one more wheel so I can have a full size spare mounted on top.
2. Does anyone know of a UK vehicle I can get a leaf or more out of to add to my pack cheaply? I had thought a transit leaf pack might be have a leaf the correct size.
Only looking for 3" lift max. That way I don't have to change a bunch of stuff.

recon your looking at a false economy there m8, if you springs are already shot, adding extra stress with lift shackles is a road to hurt, and the type of rubber tyres are made from is not designed for compression and wont last 5 mins.

sagged springs will not benefit from an add a leaf as they will sag again in a short time.

Thank you for the advice.
I will have to save a bit for propper parts

£99 for two springs is good, normally it's that each. add doesn't say if they are of the hd type.
