Title: which pitman arm should i use?

ive got myself a replacenent steering box for my 98tj. it came from and xj. all looks the same apart from the xj pitman arm is longer.
the tj has a 2 to 3" lift, so i was wondering which pitman are would be best?

what your looking for ideally is the steering rod to be parallel with the track bar. not sure of the difference between the tj and the xj tho'

i have xj pitmans on both of my TJ's and an xj box on one. Given the pain in the ass the arms are to remove i would fit the unit complete  :icon_winkle:

ZJ pitman arm is used in US as its longer and therefore if you do hi steer mods you'll still get full lock left to right..... something I never had on the YJ ......... :jpshakehead:

I  found all this out after selling axles and going  1 ton............ :jpshakehead: I then decided to go full hydro..........

So I have a ZJ pitman arm drilled for 1 ton tre (tie/track rod ends) and weld in tube ends for 1 ton tre s if they are of use to anyone  :icon_twisted:
