I have come across a th400 transmission thats tempting me to buy it. Its already running through a dana 20 transfer box and its out of a jeep j20.
Am i right in thinking that i would only need to get the driveshafts adapted to size or would i still need to change to an offset rear axle as well.
Any info to prewarn me of any pitfalls would be brilliant. Thanks alan

If the TH400 is mated to a Dana 20 already then I can't see a problem running it in the CJ6, the Dana 20 is a central rear output so it should mate up to the Dana 44 diff fine, but yes you would need to get your shafts made to suit. I have another TH400 with the quadratac transfer if you want a spare.
