Title: AMC V8 Engine tag

My engine had no engine number tag/identification on it when I got it, I have to put something down in the logbook (engine swap info) does anyone have a spare or can let me know what they look like, how many numbers/letters they have etc and I'll try and make my own, thanks in advance

none of the AMC V8s I have seen have stamped numbers just the cast CI (360, 401 etc) on the side, I lust put my chassis number down followed by '-V8' on mine

Ok, thats interesting, I have also asked the US boys on another jeep forum so will see what they come up with, it may well be the case where I use another number, but usually there is some sort of identification on an engine?

no not all engines come with serial numbers , a lot of american stuff doesn't have it.
