Hi All
I'm looking for a stainless steel exhaust for my 1999 Jeep Cherokee Orvis (XJ - 4 litre).
Peco dont do one (Grand Cherokee only), Janspeed do one (Model: SS 509) but it won't fit a face lifted model (There are one of two people selling this who state it will fit, but I've checked with Janspeed and they state it won't).
So I'm a bit stuck.
I don't wan't to have one made by power-flow etc due to the fact that they're miles away and I can't spare the time at present - beside the jeeps still at the garage with the steering box woes that I reported in another thread, so its not going anywhere for a while!
So my question is, can anyone recommend a S/S Exhaust that can be bought off the shelf for a face lifted Cherokee?

Bloody hell you'd think they'd know wouldn't you? Sometimes I really feel like the countries becoming more and more incompetent as the days go by. We have access to the internet, we can get any info you like in a blink of an eye, but people are definitely getting dumber!
OK many thanks Daggle, I'll order up a Janspeed tonight and I'll post up how I get on with it!

its usually cos you got some spotty oik of a kid on the phone who looks in the catalogue and doesn't see your year listed so it won't go!
to think that years and experience is so quickly binned in favour of the national minimum wage does it really amaze you?

I even had my usual exhaust supplier call them (janspeed) and he was told the same thing, '1993 - 1997 only - won't fit the face lifted model'.
Tell you what I'll do. I'll get one and have it fitted - then I email Janspeed with photos of my jeep (on the ramp) with the exhaust fitted, and ask them to update their website.
I bet they won't update it!

Yea thats the guy I'm buying from - its the same model as Janspeed show on their site (SS 509).
Just wish Janspeed would say the same thing!

Update: Bought the Janspeed and had it fitted. No issues when fitted so why Janspeed say it won't fit is anyones guess!

Hi All
Just thought I'd update this post while I'm online.
The janspeed has been on almost a year now and has been steadily getting more roarty (but in a nice way - almost a v8 kind of sound) as the miles go on!
In all honesty its now louder than my day-to-day car which is a embarrassing considering my day-to-day car is a Porsche 911!
Anyway I can't recommend this system enough - if you're looking for a new system for your XJ, buy this and spend you're time grinning at the roar coming from behind you!
