Can anyone tell me what's the difference between General Grabber AT and General Grabber AT2 tyres (and dont say the number 2).
-
completely different tread, AT is the newer one to meet EU noise limits etc etc
AT2

AT

Strangely AT2 are available in higher speed ratings, and although they are an older design are still coming out in new sizes, just think they will be harder to find soon.

I may be being really thick here (wouldn't be the first time), but did General used to make a tyre prior to the new AT with the curved tread pattern called an AT but with a tread pattern more like the AT2's.
Reason I ask is I've found a few sets on eBay that say they're General AT's but the trad pattern looks nothing like te pictures posted in this thread..

yes, there was an older AT before the AT2, must be at least 6-7 years old though, I wouldn't bother. whats the ebay number?
-
I have just put the AT's on my WJ 255 55 18's, really impressed so far.
I have only had them on the road and there is no excessive tyre noise,
Jedi have the AT's as well and they performed very well at Cheapfest.
When I was speaking to tyre places they said that the AT2 is going to be fazed out so getting replacements if you muller one could get tricky long term.

Got them on my XJ. Very impressed, quiet, good in the wet, never let go a Cheapfest. Thumbs up from me.
