Title: Intermittent Blowers - 2002 WJ
Post by: jay140285 on September 30, 2011, 11:39:27 PM
Evening,

Over the last few months this has been on going, doesn't bother me so much but when Nat's using the Jeep in winter it will be an issue with our baby needing to keep warm and also keeping the windows demisted.

The blower / aircon works perfectly then after a few minutes turns off, then few mins later come back to life then off again.

Changed the Relay but no difference, all the blend cycles change between front screen, face, foot wells etc without issue.

Air con evaporator appears to be draining ok water under car when parked up is visible).

So any ideas.

Resistor pack on blower switch is my educated guess ...

Experts will be along soon to correct my errors  :003:

The resistor pack connector above the passanger footwell is melting.

How do I get to it? Is it easy to remove and replace?

Fixed,

Popped to Robs for a brew this morning and he kindly let me show him what was wrong, and then I taught it how to carry out the repair.

I now have excellent bowers, better than they have ever been and icy cold air con.
