Title: wj 2.7 crd pas pipe.....laugh?? i almost paid my tv licence!

Just did the water pump on my 2.7 crd which wasnt in itself a bad job, the only issue was having to remove the pas pipe which runs from the pas pump on the nearside to the coupling on the viscous fan. I was aware there had been a small leak from the joint on the pump, in the process of removing and replacing this has now developed into a "spray the garage roof" type of leak. hmm looking at the pipe id thought maybe fitting a new one was a good idea. Jeep want not only £140 just for the pipe but also £46 for each ot eh 2 connectors.....so over £200 for a length of pipe!!! im hoping ive found a local hydraulic pipe supplier who hopefully will make up a complete unit......ill keep you posted! (also £95 quid for a waterpump wasnt cheap either!!!)
