Title: ZJ Alarm
Post by: jay140285 on October 26, 2011, 11:27:21 PM
Right,

Tonight the ZJ was parked on the drive, bonnet up checking all fluids etc and Nats dad messed about with the key fob and unlocked, locked and generally was a bit ham fisted and kept pressing buttons on the fob as it didn't unlock the jeep instantly like his ST.

Now the drivers door isn't unlocking off the fob and the alarm / immobiliser won't disarm.

Any ideas? Tried the spare fob and no different.

At the moment its parked with battery disconnected.

Either need to know how to disconnect alarm and immobiliser or get it working.
Cheers.

Might be worth keep a spare set of batteries in the glove box, CR2016 X2.

If they go flat you aint going anywhere lol.

no good if they are locked inside and the remote central locking isn't working......

you might have to use the key in the door lock which will be a novelty

Good point Dave...ZG's will lock themselves after a few minutes if the engine running..
