Title: flexi-hose spec/dimensions
Post by: JAY1 on November 16, 2011, 01:07:05 PM
Hi guys!

Does anyone know the spec/dimension of the rear flexi hoses on a WJ?

I'm in the process of having some made up as my rear brakes are STILL dragging :010: and wondered if anyone knows this as i'm worried I may get it wrong!

I need to know fittings and lengths.

Thanks,

Jay

Hi jay,

Sorry don't know the spec but go to these guys

http://www.pirtek.co.uk/ (http://www.pirtek.co.uk/)

If you take the old pipe with you they can find out for you and should be able to supply you a length   :icon_biggrin:

Thanks Warp.
I've been in touch with llama 4x4 (a member on here i believe) and he said he can make them up for me but needed me to confirm lengths and fittings. His pricing seemed good and have heard good stuff about him on here so I'm going to stick with him for now.

Plus I have had a run in with Pirtek in the past with regards to a hired digger and a burst hose which the engineer refused to put down 'wear and tear' as it was more than his jobs worth........despite it being due to wear and tear! Anyway, i won't get into that too much more!

Keep a note of the fittings & sizes please, I need a longer one without the solid pipe bit in the middle of it. Will have to ask Dave to make me one up too.

Will do. Still searching!

anyone got some old ones that are destined for the bin that they would be willing to send to David if I paid the postage?
