Title: Radio only getting a couple of radio stations
Post by: Sprackerss on December 02, 2011, 12:32:57 PM
Hi all again,

1992 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0 Petrol straight 6.

I have noticed that my radio now only gets a couple of radio stations on both AM and FM and the volume is lower than it was when I turn up the volume to max.

I have trawled through a lot of Internet info and found that others have had the same problem.

The solution (apparently) is not the radio or the antenna but the male /female connector of the antenna cable behind the kick panel inside the car passenger side nearest the antenna side. It needs a hose clip apparently.

In the articles it says just take the kick plate off and there it is right in front of you.

Well when I took the kick plate off there were about 100 wires all different colours.

Can someone help me locate this male/female connector for instance what colour am I trying to find for the antenna cable and is the male female connector a different colour?

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Phil
