Hey guys just thought i would let you know
My brother who has a 2.7 CRD WJ 2004 Overland recieved a recall letter from Jeep yesterday for
Heated Seat elements
Apparently they get to hot and in extreme cases catch fire
-
I wish the seats in my diesal Cherokee would catch fire...
Its bloody freezing in there....!
-
More info
The fault covers 2003-04 and my WJ is now booked in to have elements replaced
so Heated seats will work now shame WJ dont start in the mornings
-
hmmm, I have 2003 seats in my '99. Least they keep me warm
-
Mother in Law has had the same letter.
Mine is a 2002.
-
Mine is a 2002 model and has the same problem with the heated seats. They get so hot it could do physical harm. I called Jeep customer service about it and even though I have an identical problem to the 2003-2004 models they said my vehicle is not covered by the recall I guess I just have to put up with it.
Unbelievable.
-
Thats a shame, mines a 2000 and the driver side seat has stopped working, would have saved me some time fixing it.
-
I got that letter some time last year and booked it into Jeep to get it done, all sorted without having to pay anything, but I do miss the fire that used to be in the seats compared to the mild warmth they've replaced it with :011:

My 2002 had the recall done a couple of yrs ago.
Not that the drivers seat works anymore, just the passenger one.
