Does any one know the size of the bolts/machines screws that fits the US license plate holes?
M5's to small M6's to big
if i'm being dumb tell me so but suggest a solution
Thanks

Try 1/4 UNF or UNC ?
-
If M6 is too big 1/4" will be far too big at another 0.35 mm wider diameter.
Try and find some 12-24 (UNC) or 12-28 (UNF) threaded bolts. It's the next size down from 1/4" - just checked it's 5.486mm.

Thanks chaps

alternative is to drill hole out to 6mm, then put a nut and bolt straight through :icon_winkle:
-
thats what i have done with my LED lights in the bolts :greggmo:

Part way between Dia. 5mm and Dia. 6mm in Imperial is 7/32 - any thread you like as long as the nut and bolt are the same!
-
You won't find a 7/32" thread though. Below 1/4" in diameter UN threads are numbered sizes.
-
Don't you just hate it when someone proves they are smarter than you?
7/32" is no longer a recognised size - buggrit!
Try a No. 12 UNF, major dia 0.216" per this site http://www.britishfasteners.com/threads/unf.html (http://www.britishfasteners.com/threads/unf.html) or Dia 5.48mm for the youngsters!

take it the plastic type are too big?
