Title: Rear view mirror
Post by: IrishCJ6 on January 05, 2012, 07:14:37 PM
My CJ6 has no rear view mirror, I need to get one, anyone know if this one would work

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/INTERIOR-DIPPING-REAR-VIEW-MIRROR-JEEP-WRANGLER-/250893459916?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3a6a6a61cc (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/INTERIOR-DIPPING-REAR-VIEW-MIRROR-JEEP-WRANGLER-/250893459916?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3a6a6a61cc)

Or does anyone have one they are willing to part with?

Yeah thats what I thought too until I tried a normal car one, the modern windscreen is raked further back and thus does not work properly on a more vertical screen like the CJ, I may look around for a flatter screen vehicle

the mirror is irrelevant. it's the mount that matters.

if you just want to be legal get a sucker type, if you want a usable mirror get one that screws to the frame with a support on the screen, if it helps I got a Jamar billet cage mounted mirror here, £20+p&p if your interested.

Its a little longer than I thought so ended up mounting it differently, seems to work well though

I would love to say yes but with fuel prices as they are I think it would have to wait a little bit, also got a little one on the way, I'm sure that will take some of my time up :icon_biggrin:
