Post by: willo on January 13, 2012, 07:57:44 PM
one of the regs for this forthcoming KOV is that I need to have my Steering lock removed, does anyone have any solution so that I can do this temporarily?

how hard would it be to fit a collar over the holes so the tang doesn't drop in? I've not had the wheel apart yet so I don't know how hard it will be to do

no I doubt it will make any difference as most insurers know  one good yank and they are gone, plus your tj should have the chrysler immobilser fitted to it.

Here's a vid for replacing the ignition switch pin. You need to remove the steering wheel lock to get the job done.
