Title: TJ hardtop pics
Post by: willo on January 22, 2012, 10:09:43 PM
could anyone with a hardtop TJ, take some pics, preferably with it on so I can see if/how it interracts with the middle hoop, I am thinking about Cutting and shutting a TJ hardtop to make a tC for my TJ, but I also want to remove the middle hoop.

Cheers
Willo

and I'd probably leave the rear glass out too, and fit net or similar, soft roll up type thing, I also need to fit a bulkhead betwix seats and cage...

If you are going to be cutting up a hard top I would  buy the cheaper yj hardtop as the only difference is the over centre clamps at the front of the hood that attach it to the screen rail.As you are already modifying it,it should be easy enough to secure it to the screen using another clamp.

How much should i be looking at paying fir a hard top? The tj one on the bay that tank posted is at £102, and the yj one is at start price £150 no BIN.... I dont really want to pay huge sums for something that might not work and im gonna cut about anyway

 YJ or TJ?
I would stick with the TJ........ Cos the TJ windscreen frame is at a different angle....... and TJ doors dont fit a YJ or vice versa. Believe me I've tried..

JP mag made it work but only by bodging........ If you run no doors you might get away with YJ on TJ tub....... somehow I think you like to keep the mud and water outside :icon_twisted:
