Title: Tyre choice
Post by: IrishCJ6 on January 25, 2012, 07:25:03 PM
Does anyone know what these are like

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/33-12-50-x-15-GT-RADIAL-MUD-TERRAIN-TYRES-ONLY-X-4-/190599869204?pt=UK_Cars_Tyres_RL&hash=item2c60a33314 (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/33-12-50-x-15-GT-RADIAL-MUD-TERRAIN-TYRES-ONLY-X-4-/190599869204?pt=UK_Cars_Tyres_RL&hash=item2c60a33314)

Not a bad price, not sure whether to pay £300 for second hand BFG MT's or go for new like these for a fraction more

Advise welcomed

Anyway of contacting him?

The reason I ask about the BFG's is cause I have a brand new (perfect condition) spare wheel, if I buy the set advertised I would still have a full set of BFG's if I go for something else them my spare would be different to the rest. Does this really matter? Also I'm very broke after the build however safety comes first so I want to get something sorted soon.

Go BFGs
Even 2nd hand they last well and give a really good ride on road even  the MUDS.

If you get 12.50s and put em on an 8" rim you can safely air down to 10 psi without losing a bead. So great on rocks.

If you get mud in em and they leak. easy enough to use Hi lift to burst bead and remove mud then air up......

Up till I went 39.5...I used 33s and 35s in a BFG mud flavour for 10 years........ as i said great on road and great offroad............. never be good as a bogger in the mud but you don't to run them on road :hysterical:

So long as they are in good nick, no cuts or tears, go the BFG route  :icon_winkle:
