Any one had problem with interior lights coming on/off on there own? Not being caused by door or boot switchs as have disconnected them and it still happens. Have also swopped head lamp switch with one that i know is good. What else is in the circuit? Its beginning to annoy me now :jump_125: :jump_125:
Cheers

isn't there a timer on the central locking?

isn't there a timer on the central locking?
Wish I knew its spent today turning them on and off at random times while parked up with no one touching it. I've replace all the relays that I can find. Its the fact that it will do nothing for a week then decide to put the lights on without being touched thats pissing me off. :017:

Had something similar on my mk2, was the rear passenger door switch plunger sticking / arcing. Have a really good look at all of the contacts, new ones were cheap froma dealer :icon_winkle:

check the door closure light switchs, these do corrode over time so you might be getting a poor connection. The lights are on a timer which go off when the ignition key is turned or when the doors are locked after parking up

It still happens with all the door switchs disconnected, wheres the timer relay located and what does it look like?

looks like a small black box with some metal pegs attached, probably located sorry buried in the dash

Have you tried twisting the knob on the push/pull light switch?
