Title: AMC 360 Max RPM

Can anyone tell me what the max RPM on a 360 would be, mine seems to start falling off at just over 4k in top, is that normal

most us v8's are lazy revvers,they produce most torque sub 3000, so i would say yes thats about the maximum it will rev to in standard form.

4250 ish             if you want to blow a mint of cash can get more but its for dragging mostly

Thats great guys, I knew they were lazy just not that lazy, thought something was wrong, no I don't want to spend $$$$$ just making sure all was ok. I've only just installled a tacho so I've been running blind till now as the speedo is so inaccurate so I was comparing the GPS/calculated figures to actual RPM.

Yep I'll give you that one, scares the living crap out of most of the common folk round here and even the so called boy racers
