Title: CJ5 Steering Wheel
Post by: DirtyDeb69 on February 17, 2012, 01:59:07 PM
Am rather enjoying picking all your brains, so thought I'd start something else......

Next thing to consider after seats is steering wheel. Anyone got a removeable one, or a tilt column? Or perhaps I can put a slightly smaller one in? Any advice welcome, as always....

As you've probably guessed this is my first project  :17:

Thanks I of M  :icon_biggrin:
I'm assuming these are legal for road use (I'm a bit dim lol)? A removeable wheel would make the jeep less nickable!
Luckily I know a good mechanic to help with modifications!

Is your jeep fitteed with power steering , if it is you can reduce the size of steering wheel quite a bit.

only going to say this once so it can be ignored and the thread can move on

it seems a very nice stock cj5 ............................... almost seems a shame to alter things

there said it

i think a later column with tilt would be the bast bet as its a smaller wheel anyway and it will look stock to all but anorak wearing enthusiasts

Bubba, I agree she is beautiful as she is, and it's a shame to fiddle however sadly I can't drive her without making adjustments  :icon_rolleyes:

why not go go for the column change first and see how  you go from there?
