Title: Seized rear brakes don't help with fuel consumption
Post by: IrishCJ6 on March 28, 2012, 06:54:08 PM
Thought my fuel usage this weekend was a little high compared to that of the following, also the engine temp a little higher than normal  :017:, went to push the jeep in the garage to move it away from something and it wouldn't budge  :icon_eek:. Jacked up rear and tried to move wheel, no hope, inserted large bar and tried again, no hope  :banghead:. I'm surprised I didn't see smoke, good thing its a V8 otherwise I think I would still be in the forest. :098:

So new wheel cylinders orderd as well as shoes, should finally make the park brake work :icon_biggrin:

:hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical: for one day, maybe a week. didn't you read the bit in the handbook that says the hand brake is just for show.

did find on yella that when the shoes got too thin the push rods in the slave were able to kink over and jam
