Title: RC not-so quick disconnects help
Post by: Charl1e on March 29, 2012, 08:06:27 PM
Does anybody know or have any advice on how to get the T55 torx bolt out of the lower bracket on the anti roll bar???
So far i've gone through two T55's & one big breaker bar, I cant get access to any air tools this week either :011: think it must be welded on!!! but i'm out of ideas really and I dont want to round out the bolt, because that means drilling it out  :jpshakehead:

soak it in your favourite lubricant, plug gas etc

then put torx driver in, hit it with a mallet a few times,

try your sockets, if that dont work its grinder time

They've been soaking in wd40 for over 24hrs, spraying every few hours, i'm going to get a bigger hammer!!

try soaking in ATF & thinners, sounds bizarre but was magic stuff (tip courtesy of irishcj6), makes wd40 resemble water

WD40 is not a penetrating fluid, is is an evapourating lubricant

grind off, drill it out, the bracket will bend like cheese :003:
