Why?
JP did this toa YJ ..... you need hood, grill shell, fenders optional, depending what you hope to achieve.
A Bit of gingery pokey to make it fit
Can't see it being any more difficult for a TJ
-
Was humin about putting the rad in the back, then i could mount the winch in the iconic bit which i have cut out and i figured it be easier to get one from a cj than a tj
-
bits will fit up but the cowel on the tj tub is not flat, the raised section messes it up
-
would be ya coolest mod yet

Depends which CJ
Go the whole hog and get an MB grill to fit. Might need to make a custom hood, but there's no compound curves so it has to be doable (Should be reasonably easy to do in ally). Would look uber cool with tube fenders. :icon_super:

agree with mr Jones....
Go CJ2 A. You can get em for about a ton then, tube fenders and cut your hood to fit or two hoods and join em or just use a flat section flanked by tube. The rest is for ventilation.......
even seen it done on Pirate :jpshakehead:
-
biggest problem i see is the hight of the grill, from memory the TJ grill is quite low compared to a CJ
the CJ7 grill is 20" high as near as dam it
-
Do the "pirate" recline trick if it's too tall...
lean the grill shell back 10-20 degrees :icon_twisted:
-
something for the winter perhaps....
-
I reckons I can get you a tj grill cheapish
