Hi
just tried to fire up the old yj(1994) and nothing happened :017:, lights all work so there is power and the immobiliser light went off. Any suggestions?
Also is it possible to replace the immobiliser with a hidden switch?

Im guessing more info needed, does it turn over?If so-Any spark to the plugs?Have you checked fuel? etc
-
Take a look at my post under TJ immobiliser that should help. If you go down that road make sure that the switch is just a push button, otherwise the starter motor will keep turning.

Absolutely nothing other than the dash lights coming on, like battery, handbrake and the such, and the stereo.

ok first check battery connections and if its fully charged then put the lights on and see if they dim when you turn the key, if they do the starter is sticking, if they don't change then the its either buggered or you need or you have no power to it.

If the starter is not turning, try hitting it a few times with a hammer, and see if it starts then.
