Guys,
I brought a Dana 30 bearing and shim kit out of the US (Just Differentials) and went to fit the inner pinion bearing cone onto the pinion and low and behold it just slipped on without any pressing. So I checked the bearing numbers against the old one and this is what I found
Old cone = HM88649
New kit cone = HM88648-N
The cup is the same for both HM88610
Any ideas,
I have got onto the seller and I'm waiting for a responce, just wondered if this was common or uncommon

googled the part number for your new bearing and found someones post with the same issue. Turns out the bearing was incorrect.

Just had another look at the thread I linked to and it's IrishCJ6 who started the post. JD are sending him a new bearing. I'm not paying attention tonight.

Guys,
Got onto Just Differentials tonight and I must say they were very apologetic for THEIR mistake, seems the wrong cones have been put into this kit, they are express shipping the correct bearing (free of charge including taxes etc) to me. Must say the US is NO. 1 for customer service. Would defo recomend them
