Title: Pitman arm
Post by: willo on June 14, 2012, 08:45:08 PM
So, Trying to get the bugger off, its had a puller on it for 2 nights plus lube and being smacked by tpth's but its not budging. Any other methods to try so as not to melt the seals?

Or do I melt the seals and get a new seal kit?

With the puller still on..2xBFH and smack it each side of the shaft simultaneously, if that dont work I would grind the fecker off before I used heat..
I did mine like youre doing and it eventually let go in the middle of the night and set all the dogs off.. :003:

I've drilled a line of holes in one in the past then used a chisel to split it. Now I use a ball joint splitter that we have at work for aircraft tugs and the like.
