well i got 235/70/16 mt (which equate to around 30 inches) on my zj and i had to trim the front edge of the bumper slightly and adjust the steering stops and at full articulation the rears just touch the inner wheel arch
-
Fit a budget puck lift and you should be ok,
-
No lift kits!,it was bought taxed and mot'd for £180 and is fairly tidy with full history, but it is a low budget winter beater and the 4 knobblies are £50 with land rover steelies that will be sold/scrapped and i need 2 tyres anyway! So can i fit them?
-
dont think they will fit without a lift kit
-
Did you not just post to say that they did?
-
fit a 4.5" long arm and go 33" :icon_super:
-
make sure all your tyres have a similar amount of wear on them and hopefully same pattern and brand for least problems
-
Errr yes i do know that, and the tyres are the same brand and tread, but will that size fit without mods?

Well if he has 30inch fitted and they rubbed slightly then 30.5 will rub and catch on full lock.
-
Around 30 inches could be as much as 30.5 inches, sorry i did think i would have had some replies with some experience behind them!
-
For £50 put them on and get on with it.
Whats to loose :banghead:
-
front bumper to start with :hysterical:
They will fit, just expect to get the stanley knife out to attack the bottom edge of your bumpers
-
Probably will ,but I didn't think it would do any harm to ask on the Jeep forum if anybody had first hand experience, never mind though eh! :icon_rolleyes:
Edit,cheers scrw
-
Did you not just post to say that they did?
no, i said my 30 inch rubbed at front without lift , so pretty clear that bigger will rub too unless you give it a lift, or as i have done, get the stanley knife out
-

Giving it more than 2 hours to give folks a chance to reply to you would be a good idea.

well if the answer i have given is not first hand experience, :banghead:
-
bigger offset wheels or some wheel spacers will help with rubbing on lock at the front BUT will also need more bumper trimming

:017: err i said lift it and you should be ok, pucks are just spacers you put on top of ya springs, then ukturbo2000 says his 30's rub lets think add another half inch and they will rub errr more :icon_rolleyes:
how is that not experience
fit the fuckers they will rub a treat
-
Errr yes i do know that, and the tyres are the same brand and tread, but will that size fit without mods?
simple answer NO ! 265/75/16 will not fit without mods my standard tyres were 225/75/16
-
another 50 and ya problem solved

2" lift you say.....

Not running it yet?
I have had it on the road for a year now :icon_rolleyes:
ukturbo said around 30 inches, not 30 inches exactly, these 30.5 inch tyres are around 30 inches eh.
I don't mind trimming bumpers as i have said it is purely a winter beater that isn't worth spending a great deal of money on.
-
stick em on then & did out stanley

Some people
remind me not to bother in future :banghead:
and dont forget at 265 your tyres are a fair bit wider than mine, so expect to loose a bit more of your turning circle, you may need to fit spacers to the fronts, and that as they say, is the end of any help you will receive from me. Goodbye and good luck.

Well if you are going to get smart about things,i'm glad you won't be joining in to help on this one judging by your previous posts :wave-fingersmiely:

im not getting into a slanging match with you, but judging by your attitude to people as shown on here, i dont suppose you'll be that welcome around here for too long. People come on here for help and advise, which is exactly what you were given, if you choose to belittle said peoples advise then dont expect them to warm to you.
-
I asked a simple question and got some not so simple answers, and i have been here longer than you fella.
-
please calm down guys, try them on and see how it goes, you may need to trim a little off the bumper and you may get some rubbing on full lock but you never know you may get lucky and need neither.

Agree try em on and see, but that will mean spending 50 squid, everyone is on edge on here and telling people their post are not helping well ....... didn't help.
If they rub either break out the blade, take em off or give it a cheeky lift ;)

They might measure 30.5" but they are generally regarded as a 31-32" tyre size. When people talk about fitting 31s / 33s etc even if it says that on the side they often measure 0.5" under that with a tape. Don't ask why, different brands vary more than others too.

You know a did called Stanley?
