just take ya time i have welded several over the years
-
The ones you said you welded was the repair long lasting ???? Cheers
-
weld didnt hold damm so going to replace engine.am i right in saying that all cherokee 4.0 engine the same mines a t reg .i will use all my manfolds etc but is the main engine the same ?????
-
did you use a stick welder and cast rods ? you also have to prep the crack/fault and heat the area you are going to weld with a gas torch before you start to weld? from the pic cant see its possible without removing engine. try again when you get it out, and remember to heat the area up. did a vice a few years ago had it cherrry red before welding..............good luck :greggmo:
