Title: xj '96 board computer

i have question, my on board comp -under the ceiling between driver and front passanger shows just temp and compass. what about the rest of function. i have read somewhere it shows mpg , mileage to service etc. what can be the reason my doesnt work and what to do to it start to work? upfront thanx for help

not sure i have one. on right is us/m -change celsius to F, right is com/menu-just switching of display

Dont think they had that function on the pre facelift models.

Mine is the same, only have the basic displays.

Plus do you really want to know your MPG, it will only depress you.

yes, thats true. dont need to know, if somebody ask me i answer its 42mpg, hehe

what for is the left button then? why after pressing it display is off and on the button is word: comp/menu?

they were state of the art car computers then dont compare it to modern stuff. the temperature is taken from the sensor infront of the rad
