Title: Avoiding SOA axle wrap
Post by: Bulldog67 on September 28, 2012, 07:58:22 PM
Ok, havin pretended the Chief isnt part of this reality for the last few weeks its time to revisit, and despite the other problems axle wrap is summink I think I now need to consider

so - whats the solution to fix? and can we keep this in a shady tree fix rather than a 'i have won the lotto' fix please  :003:

I have new (old) springs winging there way down to me thanks to J33ky and I can do without turning these into right angle springs as i was dumb enuff to weigh in my spares ( :wsmile: ) so havent got many left

Cheers gents  :greggmo:

Can't find the picture on the I- pad but tis somewhere on 1 ton continues.
My big feck off anti wrap bar that uses bits from Dan at Ruffstuff you get just the bushes and you supply the tube and steel and cost about £80.
most stuff on Pirate complains about trashing a set of springs after a few trips..... Just done a year and a few really knarly bits and no sign of axle tramp or twisted springs or any bollix so deffo the route to go in my experience.
