ordered a new 3pc clutch for xj should be here this week, anything i should be aware of when fitting apart from the obvious.............

I don't know about the thrust bearings in the kits over here but in the US some are switching to one with plastic parts which seem to wear out pretty quickly. If you get one like that you'd be wise to source an all metal thrust bearing.

cheers i'll check when it arrives.......... :icon_winkle:

I'm amazed sent yesterday arrived this morning standard delivery, :icon_eek: well done UPS :icon_biggrin: and yes the thrust bearing is all metal,..........

Another thing just crossed mt mind. The e-torx bolts at the top of the bell housing should be undone first from what I read. And if you don't have an e-torx bit, e-12 is the size I think, a 10mm socket can be used.

Cheers i'll keep it in mind :icon_biggrin:...............

If you don't have any 'e' sockets, use a 12 sided socket not 6 sided! are you changing the spigot bearing too?
-
Yeah, was thinking maybe i should? i'll get one on order............used to call them pilot bearings...... :icon_winkle:
