When I refulled the other day the overhead console read 504 miles to empty.
I did 79 miles and the console now tells me I have 405 miles to empty.
This should read out - of course - 425.
Presumably there is a datum milage programmed - is this based on the past average before refuelling?

it calculates on an average of previous miles done, so if you drive around town then fill up and go onto the motorway you can see the DTE go up as you drive, like wise if you come from a steady drive then get in stop start traffic the DTE can drop by over 10 miles in a few hundred yards.
in other words its a guide only, and can only be trusted to read correct when totally empty :003:
